Database Manager

The Database Manager consists of a server part and a client part. The same functionality is offered for the Database Manager regardless of which client you use.

Using the Database Manager for SAP DB Administration

Examples:

1. Before you can start backup operations in the Database Manager, you must create backup media.
2. Then you can perform complete and incremental data backups as well as log backups.
3. For log backups, we recommend that you activate the automatic log backup. It is used in production systems to ensure data security.
4. If you are getting short of data space in your running database, you can add a data volume without having to stop the productive operation.
